Ever since the day I stepped off the plane and into Tullamarine Airport, the days have only been wet, gloomy, and cold. However, the past few days' weather took a sudden change and lo and behold..! THE SUN WAS OUT!!!!!!!
Now this was not the "usual" sun you get in Melbourne during Winter .. where its only for "show".. Hence the MSN personal message of I need a "real" sun, not this thing that shines out blinding rays and no warmth!
It was HOT.. oh what glorious days they were~!!!
To rejoice those warm sunny days, when Diana sms-ed me to meet up on Saturday, I suggested to have a picnic/photography session in the gardens.. Yee Wei joined us for the day too!
I was such a happy girl ! The warmth from the sun, and the blue, blue skies seriously made my day! I was sooooo lacking in Vit D prior to that! :P
We walked to the Royal Botanical Gardens from Flinders St Station. On the way, we stood at the empty area in front of the Shrine of Remembrance to embrace the sun a little.. at least for me that is ^^
We found a spot & a bench.. and had our picnic with various topics of conversation going on.. and later, we took out our cameras and started snapping away~
Too much details to go into.. basically we fed ourselves (thanks to Di and Yee Wei! these darlings told me to bring myself and not to worry about the food!!) .. and the various kinds of birds and ducks .. and swans ..
Di was quite turned off by the slithering sight of the whole pack (?) of eels swimming together in the lake .. and said that is one of the reasons she doesn't eat Unagi (Jap food) .. and asked me if I could still eat Unagi after seeing this ..
Being JEAAAAANNNNNNNn......... I was like .. OF COURSE!!!!!! *yumyumyum* ^___^
Who would've thought meeting someone from the bloggers' world would give me such a good friend indeed!
